Titanium dioxide: also known as titanium oxide or titania, is the naturally occurring oxide of titanium. When used as a pigment, it is called titanium white. It is noteworthy for its wide range of applications, from paint to sunscreen to food colouring. It is manufactured from the chlorination of titanium mineral sands.
Zirpaque: is a new Zirconium chemical opacifier produced from Zircon sand.
ZOC: this colourless salt is formed upon hydrolysis of zirconium tetrachloride. It is one of the most commonly encountered water-soluble derivatives of zirconium. It can be further processed to produce Zirconium metal.
Silica: fumed silica is made from the oxidation of silica tetrachloride which is produced from the chlorination of zircon mineral sand.
