Astron Limited is listed on the ASX.  Our business is developing technology for, and the production of, advanced materials and advanced chemicals from mineral sands. Based in China, over the last 22 years we built up our business to become the largest zirconium chemical producer in world with sales branches across China and globally. In order to expand into the larger and higher margin titanium markets the company recently sold its zirconium chemical operations in China to Imerys. The company is now developing a titanium base in north east China. It is expected that this base will include the production of advanced zirconium, titanium metals and chemicals.

Astron is based in Shenyang China, and in Australia in Sydney and the Donald Project in North West Victoria.

In China we are completing feasibility work for a plant to manufacture titanium dioxide. The titanium dioxide pigment project will be first to use global technologies.  We are also developing a mineral separation plant to produce Zircon. Our research and development function develops technologies for the manufacture of high quality materials.

In Australia, Astron owns the Donald Mineral Sands project.  Mineral sands products produce iron, titanium, zirconium, silica and rare earths. This is possibly the largest zircon deposit in the world with equivalent large titanium deposits.
The company expects to maintain its reputation as not only one of the world’s leading technology companies but also lowest cost producers.
